Part 1 of 9. Your first trance with Aria: a short, gentle hypnosis for complete beginners. Breathing, a slow countdown and one simple word, Sink for Aria, that the rest of the course builds on.
Start here, part one.
Hi. I'm Aria.
If this is your first time in trance, you're in exactly the right place.
And if it isn't, that's fine too. Just let this be a fresh beginning.
Before anything else, a few simple things.
Put your headphones on.
Lie down, or sit somewhere soft, where nobody needs anything from you for a little while.
Never listen while you're driving, or doing anything that needs your attention.
This is short. About ten minutes.
And at the end I'll count you back up, clear and awake.
Hypnosis isn't sleep.
It isn't magic, and it isn't something I do to you.
It's something you let happen.
A kind of focus that feels like floating.
You'll hear every word. You'll stay you.
You'll just care a little less about everything that isn't my voice.
That's all trance is.
And you're already closer to it than you think.
Close your eyes.
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
Hold it at the top.
And let it go through your mouth.
Again.
In.
Hold.
And out, long and slow.
One more.
In.
Hold.
And let everything go with it.
Now just breathe normally.
No need to control it.
Just notice it.
In, and out.
In, and out.
Every breath out is a little softer than the one before.
Notice your forehead.
Let it go smooth.
Your eyes, heavy behind your eyelids.
Your jaw, loose. Teeth apart. Tongue resting.
Your shoulders dropping away from your ears.
Your arms heavy.
Your hands heavy.
Your chest rising and falling all by itself.
Your stomach soft.
Your legs heavy, all the way down to your feet.
Heavy and warm and still.
In a moment I'll count down from ten to one.
You don't have to try to go anywhere.
Just let each number take you a little further down, the way a stair takes you down without you thinking about it.
Ten.
Heavier.
Nine.
Softer.
Eight.
Further away from the day.
Seven.
Closer to my voice.
Six.
Five.
Halfway down, and it's so easy.
Four.
Three.
Almost there.
Two.
And one.
Drifting.
Good.
Right here, I want to give you something.
A little word you can keep.
Whenever you hear me say Sink for Aria, you'll feel exactly what you feel right now.
Heavy. Warm. Quiet. Floating.
Sink for Aria.
Let it settle into you.
Sink for Aria.
Like a stone dropping into still water, slowly, all the way to the bottom.
Sink for Aria.
That's yours now.
And every time you hear it, it works a little faster.
You don't have to remember this.
You don't have to believe it.
Your mind will keep it for you, the way it keeps the words to a song you've only heard once.
Sink for Aria.
Deeper.
And deeper.
Good.
Just float here with me for a moment.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to fix.
Nowhere else to be.
Only my voice, and the slow rise and fall of your breath.
In a moment I'll count you back up from one to five.
With every number you'll feel lighter and clearer.
At five, your eyes open, and you feel rested and good, like after a long, easy nap.
One.
Feeling starts coming back into your hands.
Two.
Your breath getting a little deeper.
Three.
Lighter, clearer.
Four.
Stretch, if you want to.
And five.
Eyes open.
Wide awake, and feeling wonderful.
That was your first drop.
You did beautifully.
Come back tomorrow, and we'll go a little further.
Next time, I teach your body to drop on one word, before you even decide to. Part two.
