Before anything else, look around the room you are in and find something pink. Take your time. There is almost always something. A book spine. A label. A wire. Something on a screen. Found it? Good. Look at it while I talk. That thing is about to stop being furniture. Here is what this session does, and I am telling you up front because it works better when you agree to it. We are going to pair one colour with one thought. Over and over, until they arrive together on their own. That is all. No commands. No control. Just an association, the ordinary kind your head makes a hundred times a day without asking permission. A song that means one particular summer. A smell that means somebody's kitchen. You did not decide either of those. They just set. Tonight we set one on purpose. And after tonight, pink will not be a neutral colour for you. Not for a while. A coat on the train. A shop sign. A cup on somebody's desk. Half a second each time. Then it passes and nobody sees anything. If you want the rest of what I make, it is at ariawilde.com. Three dollars a month. Now settle in. Sit or lie down. Let something hold your weight. Keep the pink thing in view if you can. If you cannot, close your eyes and hold it in your head instead. Breathe in. And out, longer. Again. In. Out. Let your jaw loosen. Let your shoulders drop. Good. Now I want you to really look at it. The pink thing. Not glance. Look. Notice it is not one colour. It never is. There is a lighter part where the light hits and a deeper part in the shadow. Notice the edge of it. Notice how your eye keeps wanting to leave, and bring it back. Stay with it. Breathe. Good girl. Now. Hold the colour, and let one sentence sit next to it. You are a sissy. Do not argue with it. Do not agree with it. Just let the two things be in the room together. The colour. And the sentence. Again. You are a sissy. Colour. Sentence. Again. You are a sissy. Feel how they are starting to sit together. That is all pairing is. Two things in the same place, often enough. Again. You are a sissy. Breathe in. And out. Again. You are a sissy. Now let the pink get bigger in your mind. Let it come off the object. Let it be a wash. A room full of it. Warm and low and everywhere. You are in it. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Let the colour be soft. Not loud pink. Not a joke. The quiet kind. The kind on the inside of a shell. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Good girl. Now count with me, and every number brings more of the colour in. Ten. A wash of it at the edges. Nine. Closer. Eight. It is in the corners of the room now. Seven. Warm. Six. You are a sissy. Five. Softer. Four. It is everywhere you look. Three. You are a sissy. Two. Warm and low and quiet. One. You are a sissy. Stay there. Do not do anything with it. Do not check whether you believe it. Just let the colour and the sentence sit in the same room. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Feel it settling. That is not persuasion. That is repetition, which is older and works better. Again. You are a sissy. Now we go deeper into it and I want your body to come along. Breathe in, and let the colour come in with the breath. Hold for a moment. And out. Again. In, and the room goes soft pink. And out. Again. You are a sissy. In. And out. You are a sissy. Feel how it is getting easier to hear. How it has stopped being an accusation and started being a description. That is the pairing working. Nothing else has changed. Only the company the sentence keeps. Again. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Now there is probably a part of you objecting. There usually is around now. Something along the lines of this is silly, or this will not work on me, or I am only listening to see what it is like. Let it talk. I am not going to argue with it. I only want you to notice one thing about it. It showed up the moment the sentence started landing. Not before. It was quiet for the whole induction. It waited until something got through, and then it arrived. That is not scepticism. Scepticism arrives at the start. That is a guard. And guards only stand in front of things worth guarding. Let it stand there. It can watch. Say it again anyway. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Notice the guard did not stop you. Again. You are a sissy. It never could. It can only talk. Again. You are a sissy. Good girl. Breathe in. And out. Let the colour come back up around you. Warm. Low. Everywhere. You are a sissy. Again. You are a sissy. Now something specific, because vague associations fade and specific ones stick. Picture a piece of clothing. Nothing dramatic. Something small and soft and pink that could belong to you. You are not wearing it. You are just looking at it, folded, somewhere it would be safe. Look at it. That is yours. Say it. That is mine. Again. That is mine. Feel what that does. Notice it is warm and not frightening. You are a sissy, and that is yours, and both of those are true in a quiet room with the lights low. Say it back. I am a sissy, and that is mine. Again. I am a sissy, and that is mine. Again. I am a sissy, and that is mine. Good girl. Now hold the folded thing and the colour together. They are the same temperature. Notice that. Both warm. Both quiet. Both yours. Say it. Mine. Again. Mine. Again. Mine. Feel how small that word is and how much it is carrying. One more. Mine. Good girl. Stay there a moment. Let it be warm. Everything I make is at ariawilde.com. Three dollars a month, if you want the version of this with nothing held back. Now let me tell you what happens next, because the useful part of this session happens after it ends. Tomorrow you will see pink. You do not get to avoid it. It is on packaging and clothing and signage and half the internet. And when you do, for about half a second, this will come back. The room. The warmth. The sentence. Then it will pass. You will be standing in a shop or on a platform with a perfectly ordinary face on, and the only person who knows what just happened will be you. Do not fight it when it comes. Fighting it is what makes it loud. Just let the half second happen and carry on walking. Let me tell you where it will get you first, because it is never where people expect. It is almost never a shop window. Those you see coming. It is the small stupid ones. A sticky note. The lid of something in the fridge. A wrapper on the pavement. You will be halfway through a completely ordinary thought and the colour will arrive and bring this with it. And your face will not change at all. That is the strange part. Nobody will be able to tell. You will be standing in a queue holding a warm private thing that has no outward sign. You have done that your whole life, of course. Held things nobody could see. The difference is that this one is not heavy. This one is warm. Say that back. It is warm and nobody can see it. Again. It is warm and nobody can see it. Good girl. That is the whole thing. A small private warmth hidden inside a colour that is everywhere. And here is the honest part. It fades if you let it. Associations need feeding. If you never come back to this, pink goes back to being a colour in a few weeks and nothing is lost. It lasts exactly as long as you want it to. That is not a limitation. That is the deal. One small thing for tomorrow. When the half second happens, and it will, say one word in your head. Just one. Yes. Not out loud. Not a speech. One word, in your own head, and then on with your day. Yes. That is how you feed it, if you want it fed. Say it now, so your head knows the shape of it. Yes. Again. Yes. Good girl. Now let the colour go. Let it drain back into the object it came from. The room is just a room again. You are just you, lying somewhere warm, having spent twenty minutes doing something strange and quiet that nobody will ever know about. Breathe in. And out. If you got to the end, leave me a comment telling me what the pink thing in your room was. I am genuinely curious what everyone found. Someone always says a toothbrush. The rest of what I make is at ariawilde.com. Sleep well. And watch for it tomorrow. It will find you.
